Micromax has recently been in the news for a number of impressive launches. But while it has strived to bring new high-end and mid range phones to the market, the low-end market has not been forgotten either. Micromax A89 Ninja is such a handset that is now available for sale at online retailer Flipkart. Even with it’s very humble price tag, Micromax A89 Ninja delivers in terms of specifications and performance.

Micromax A89 Ninja Design:

Micromax A89 Ninja’s design is nothing out of the ordinary. It has a candy bar build with rounded edges. In the front there are three touch buttons Menu, Home and Back. On the back, near the top along the central line is the camera. Along the same median line, the Micromax logo is present.

Micromax A89 Ninja Display:

The phone has a 3.7 inch TFT multi-touch screen of WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 p. It has color depth of 262 K. While you cannot expect the brilliance of AMOLED from the screen, it affords reasonably wide viewing angles and high-definition of color. Apart from that, the TFT enabled screen is also quite judicious with battery life, unlike the high-end phones whose displays drain battery life very quickly. So, overall, the screen is a good bargain.

Micromax A89 Ninja Hardware:

Micromax A89 Ninja is quite impressive in terms of hardware. It runs on a dual core MediaTek MT6577 processor with clock speed of 1 GHz. It has 512 MB of RAM, which means although regular tasks and multi-tasking are operated quite smoothly, graphics heavy games are not that smooth an affair. Micromax A89 Ninja also has 4 GB of internal memory of which 2.07 GB is available for use by users. This means you don’t have to worry about running out of space to load apps on. The memory can be extended up to 32 GB via micro SD card.

Micromax A89 Ninja has a 3 MP fixed focus camera. It is also capable of 720 p HD video playback. The phone runs on a 1450 mAh battery.

Connectivity of the phone is quite good with 3G capabilities, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1.

Micromax A89 Ninja Software:

Micromax A89 Ninja runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. While Android Jelly Bean is being adopted by more and more mid range and high-end Smartphones, Android ICS is still a happy surprise for a low range phone like this. There is no official word on upgrading ICS to JellyBean but Micromax A89 Ninja users live on in hope. Micromax A89 Ninja has its own pre-loaded instant messaging app called Hook up. It allows you to send texts, drawn or downloaded images, voice notes and multimedia files.

Micromax A89 Ninja Price:

While people may still have bias towards phones of electronics giants like Samsung, Apple, Nokia and so on, Micromax is slowly gaining a strong foothold in the Indian Smartphone market. Micromax A89 Ninja will surely gain popularity thanks to its neat deign and smooth performance which is understated by the very economical price.
