Samsung at present is one of the leading mobile companies famous not only in India but throughout the world. Initially it was well known for its mobile sets but recently it stands out for its launches of Smartphone as well. There are number of Smartphones by Samsung available in the market and these are having a huge market share. To keep the crown glow Samsung has added another gem in that by launching Galaxy S2 plus. Galaxy series is a pioneering launch of Samsung.

Previously it introduced Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S2 Plus is a successor of S2. Although Galaxy S2 Plus is made following S2 still there are huge dissimilarities in these. By the name S2 plus it is quite clear that there is some added facilities in Galaxy S2 Plus. Let us have a short review on that.

If we go by its looks, it is absolutely similar to its previous version Galaxy S2. So there is no harm in calling it a clone of Galaxy S2 but Samsung has incorporated some extra features in it like internet storage, NFC and TouchWiz UI.

Unlike Galaxy S2, Galaxy S2 Plus holds up both 3G and 2G networks. Other than these, its outlook is as same as Galaxy S2 as already said.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus is featured with 4.3 inches touchscreen with Super Amoled Capacitive. In addition to this 480*800 pixel display makes it more attractive and it bears 8.35 mm thickness.  It offers 217 display ppi. It supports multitouch

The TouchWiz UI, that Samsung has added in this version supports from 4.0 to 5.0 and at the same time NFGC is also accessible although NFC is not available on all the sets but only on 19105P.

One thing to be mentioned is that the memory storage in Galaxy S2 Plus is only 8GB where as in Galaxy S2 it is 16 GB.

Operating system and other features:

If we talk about the key features of this latest launch of Samsung there are many outstanding features like

  • 1 GB RAM
  • 3.5 mm audio jack
  • 3G modem with 21.1 Mbps downloading pace
  • WiFi direct, WiFi hotspot and DLNA
  • Influential Dual core 1.3 GHz CPU
  • Android Jelly Bean v4
  • MicroSD card port

It has an 8 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash. It is able to store 1080p videos with 30 fps.

All these are truly some outstanding features Samsung has put into Galaxy 2 Plus but the bad news is that there are some drawbacks as well. This very model by Samsung offers mini sim which often causes some problem and it is featured with non hot swappable micro DS card. The reduced memory is also a downside of this model. But as a whole this very model is another gift of Samsung to Smartphone lovers and undoubtedly to Samsung lovers. There is no doubt that like the previous versions this is also going to rule over the market.

It is well priced as well. In India it can be availed at RS. 24,400.
